What's withering away?

Some of the house plants are dying. They are in the living room where we spend most of our time. One sits about 3 or 4 feet from the stupid TV that gets stared at a lot. Yet, there it sits dying. It hasn't been tended to as it should have. It didn't get watered many times. I wonder how many other things in my life are dying due to neglect, even though they are right under my nose...

Relationships?

Perhaps... If it is so, I am truly sorrowful. Sometimes we let the business of life get in the way of the really important things...

I once heard a wise saying. It was by Confucios. It goes like this.. "what is happening around you, is what is in you". That is just a copy of "As a man thinketh, so as he is." This business of life... its way overrated.
The problem is when things aren't looking up, many people tend to isolate themselves, and "tough it out". What one needs to do is call a friend, someone who lives across town, who serves good wine, and can overcook a steak now and then.
I call them and invite myself over. (I always prefer that they are a little older than me but not too old.)That my friend is the true business of life. Let us know when you and Crispy can make it...

You're awesome.
My last final is Thursday at 3:30. Crispy and I planned to celebrate afterward with an excellent bottle of wine we've laid down for a few years and is now ready to drink. We can bring it over there just as easily. :-) How's that sound?
